Job Description:
Manager - Regional Sales
The Regional Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth for the organization
by leading and managing the regional sales team. This role involves developing and executing
strategies to target and acquire institutional clients, nurturing existing relationships, and
ensuring the achievement of sales targets within the assigned region. The Regional Sales
Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building and maintaining strong
relationships, and coordinating sales activities to maximize revenue from institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue Generation:
➤ Develop and execute strategies to achieve regional sales targets and revenue goals.
➤ Identify new business opportunities and markets to drive sales growth and expand the company's
market presence.
➤ Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales
performance.
2. Market Expansion:
➤ Lead efforts to expand the company's market reach within the assigned region.
➤ Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the market landscape, including competitor
analysis and customer demographics.
➤ Implement initiatives to penetrate new market segments and capitalise on emerging
opportunities.
3. Relationship Management:
➤ Build and nurture relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive customer
satisfaction and loyalty.
➤ Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback, ensuring
prompt and effective resolution.
➤ Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer
support, to deliver integrated solutions and meet customer needs.
4. Sales Strategy and Planning:
➤ Develop and implement a comprehensive institutional sales strategy
aligned with the company's objectives.
➤ Identify target markets, segments, and potential clients.
➤ Set clear sales goals and objectives for the team.
5. Team Management:
➤ Train and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals and
objectives.
➤ Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team, fostering a culture of accountability,
collaboration, and continuous improvement.
➤ Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear performance expectations, and provide
feedback and coaching to drive individual and team success.
Qualifications:
● The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree or MBA from a reputable Tier-2
college.
● Proven track record of agri-commodities sales, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a
similar role.
● Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to analyze market trends
and identify growth opportunities.
● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and
maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
● Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience leading and motivating sales teams to achieve
targets and deliver results.
● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Willingness to travel within the assigned region as needed.
● Proficiency in the regional language of the assigned region is highly desirable for this role.
