Senior Architect

About the Role

Khatter & Associates Architects is looking for a Senior Architect with 4–5 years of experience to join our team in Mumbai. We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in interior design, hospitality, large-scale civil and industrial projects, and a solid understanding of project management and on-site execution.

This role requires someone who can balance creative design thinking with technical precision and project leadership — from the drawing board to the construction site.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead design and execution workflows across multiple project types, ensuring deliverables meet design, time, and cost parameters.
• Design & Development: Translate briefs into functional and efficient spaces, ensuring strong spatial planning and design sensibility.
• Construction & Technical Detailing: Prepare and oversee detailed drawings, working sets, construction documentation, and specifications.
• Site Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction quality, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and resolve on-site challenges.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with junior architects, clients, and consultants to ensure design intent is carried through all phases.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of any 3D software (SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, etc.) is expected.

Candidate Profile: 

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Arch) or Master’s in Architecture from a recognized institution
• 4–5 years of relevant experience across interiors, hospitality, civil/infrastructure, and industrial typologies
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, detailing, and execution
• Proven ability to manage teams, timelines, and consultants
• Strong design sensibility for practical, user-oriented spaces
• Clear communication and leadership skills
